My suite of services includes:

  • Grant writing - I have extensive experience in writing grants of all sizes for foundation, corporate, government, and individual funders; this includes LOIs, proposals, and reports.

  • Professional writing - As a published author with experience writing documents ranging from policy briefs to social media posts, I am excited to turn your work and ideas into prose that will engage and inspire.

  • Training - Whether you are brand new to fundraising or have been in the game for awhile, I can provide training to you and your staff regarding the basics of fundraising, from setting goals to planning fundraisers and everything in between.

  • Grant administration - As a nonprofit, you know that receiving a grant is only the first step; I can work with you to make sure you are tracking and hitting your metrics and complying with all grant requirements, including reporting and reapplying.

  • Donor strategy - Whether you're preparing for a meeting or planning a fundraiser, I will help you determine the best way to engage donors.

  • Prospect research - from creating lists of new prospects to assessing whether a certain funder is a good fit, I can provide research into potential (or current!) funders to determine funding history, appropriate ask amounts, possible connection points, etc.

  • And more! - contact me and I will work with you to identify the services you need to meet your organizational goals.

What's in a name?

Concrete Rose derives its name from Tupac's autobiographical poem, The Rose That Grew from Concrete. Nonprofits are like roses in the concrete—fighting against the odds to improve their communities. My goal is to help you blossom and thrive.

The Rose That Grew from Concrete

Did you hear about the rose that grew from a crack
in the concrete
Proving nature's laws wrong it learned to walk
without having feet
Funny it seems, but by keeping its dreams
it learned to breathe fresh air
Long live the rose that grew from concrete
when no one else even cared!

- Tupac Shakur
